Leadership - Prakash Dangi

Courtesy: blog.aiesec.org
Leadership refers to the quality of leading people. Probably, it is one of the most important aspects of life. Above all, Leadership has led to the progress of human civilization. Without good Leadership, no organization or group can succeed. Furthermore, not everyone has this quality. This is because effective Leadership requires certain important characteristics.

Confidence is the most quality. A leader must have strong self-confidence. A person lacking in confidence can never be a good leader. A person must be confident enough to ensure others follow him. The leader must have confidence in his decisions and actions. If he is unsure, then how can people have the desire to follow him.

Honesty is another notable quality of a leader. Honesty and Integrity are important to earn the love of followers. Above all, honesty is essential to win the trust of the people. Probably, every Leadership which loses trust is bound to fail.

Mahatma Gandhi was an excellent example of a good leader. He was a staunch believer in non-violence. With his brilliant Leadership skills, he made the British leave India.
A good leader must be an excellent innovator. He must display a creative attitude in his work. Most noteworthy, innovation is a guarantee of survival of a group or innovation. Without creative thinking, progress is not possible. To conclude, Leadership is required in probably every sphere of life. Good leadership is the door to success.

World Coconut Day is observed on 2 September each year with an aim to create awareness about the importance of the coconut across the world. World Coconut Day is celebrated by the Asian and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) and its member states every year. World Coconut Day was established in the year 2009. The day is observed to commemorate the formation day of APCC which functions under the aegis of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP). Humility and Appreciation - Prakash Dangi

Humility is the most important in our behaviour. It means humble behaviour. If anyone has more qualities but if he doesn't possess humility in his behaviour then the quality of the person will be negligible. You cannot win the heart of anybody and cannot live peacefully in life. Daily we meet a large number of people, they show us humility in behaviour, and those people easily complete any work successfully. Humility is the most important value for the school environment because without humility we cannot build a healthy environment in school. It is necessary for good relations between teacher and student. I will give an example that the trees full of fruits always face downward to the earth. This shows humble behaviour and people like it.

Humility is important for our growth. If Gandhi is an example of what a humble leader can accomplish, then society serves to benefit from this kind of governance. We take another example of Sachin Tendulkar. He is one great cricket player the world respects and admires. He holds so many world records. Yet he has remained a humble person in spite of his international achievements. As students, we need to remember that we should exhibit humility to learn. Only when we have humility will we have the courage to ask the teacher again and again till we are satisfied that we have understood. The word “Appreciation” looks smaller from outside but it can help achieve anything if used properly. This word is the most powerful word for motivating someone. If someone gets appreciated for a certain task then that person always gives the best in all further tasks. This word is motivational, carrying a huge power inside and can turn negative thoughts into positive. Many organizations and schools are known for their culture of appreciation. This is the main reason behind the happiness of their employees. Appreciation can increase the inner power of anyone. Everyone in this world loves to receive appreciation for their tasks. If someone has done something for you then saying thank you is a formality. But if you provide motivational words like “good work”, “keep it up” or “excellent” along with the thank you then next time that person works with twice the energy. As same in school when the student completes his work on time and teachers motivate the students by saying " good work" or " wonderful " or "excellent" along with thanking you then next time that student work with twice the energy. Even not only students but teachers also want appreciation from their seniors and principal. It is not only limited to workplaces but it can be used anywhere. Therefore it is necessary to appreciate a person whenever possible. It is a good way to make things easier and simpler. If appreciation is used properly, benefits are assured. Freedom & Peace - Innovators BHIS

Peace cannot be kept by force, it can only be achieved by understanding. - Albert Einstein

In a class of forty students, Jia always stood out from the rest as she was far ahead of her classmates in regards to academics. She would always keep herself immersed in books as if she had no other friends. She was excellent in her performances in all the subjects. She had hoards of knowledge on any topic as she was a voracious reader. Only one thing made her shrink into her cocoon and that was if she was asked to speak or give vent to her thoughts. She would shy away from that within seconds….never wanting to speak up! This shying away into her shell worried her class teacher a lot. The teacher would always think about ways to make her express herself, most of the time wondering why such an exceptionally intelligent child would be cocooned in her shell! She decided to take one to one interactive session with her class so that she could make Jia speak up. As decided, she informed the class that they would have an interactive session on a particular day and that they should be ready to speak on something that they haven’t spoken to anyone else about.
In the allotted class, the teacher was there on time as she had an agenda on her mind. Finally, it was Jia’s turn. This shy teenager somehow walked up to the teacher’s desk and sat on the chair with her head lowered. As the teacher gently asked her to speak on what she wanted to share, there were tears rolling down her cheeks…she very discreetly shared that her parents were never at peace with each other. After repeated nasty fights at home, they had finally decided to part ways She was extremely perplexed as to who she would be with….she wanted to be with both! The teacher comforted her as much as she could and explained that adults had the freedom to make their choices in life. Jia, while wiping away her tears, owned up to her teacher that she was feeling a lot relieved by being able to speak her heart out. She thanked her teacher. She suddenly felt that she was freed from the clutches of her sorrows and dilemmas. This day of opening her heart out to her teacher and her feeling of freedom from her brought her inexplicable peace! She slowly started mingling freely with her classmates and felt happy, free and at peace as would any other girl of her age.
