Quality

Quality is an essential value in our life. It is an important aspect of one’s life. Quality makes a person’s life special because of all we know his/her about character, behaviour, and attitude regarding society and nation, such an example was our former President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam.

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thought.
The quality of your thought depends on the people whom you meet in your life.”

For the success of an organization different important elements are required like skills, knowledge, ability, objectives, aims, human resources or power and quality from establishing to control.

Quality is an essential parameter which helps organizations outshine their competitors and survive the fierce competition.

We need friends of good quality in our life. They help us in many ways like they help us to understand the value of time, thing etc, they guide us in a difficult situation. Good quality friends encourage and motivate us.

You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want. It is only possible by your own qualities which make it possible. It develops an attitude of gratitude for everything that happens in your life. So, try to improve your abilities in good quality, which makes you special in others life. Achieving quality can make you and others feel good inside.

We have a tendency to buy good quality products to fulfil our needs, for this, we often visit Malls and Shopping Centers nearby. Normally if a Product is Available on the Local shops and the same product is available in the Mall, we will prefer the product which is being sold in a Shopping Mall. The reason behind this is when it comes to our needs we never compromise on quality.

Thoughtfulness

The term “thought” is an idea click in one’s mind for something happening around. We can say a person is thinking when we see the characteristic of being kind, good and helpful to others (whether it can be a person or anything around him). There is always some or the other thing going into mind when we are thoughtful, we don’t need to wait for any kind of opportunity, rather then we can make it. A thoughtful person is most creative as there are lots of thoughts flowing in his mind.

People who think in favour of others benefit are always loved by everyone. For example A Friend is always a thoughtful person to us. It is universally accepted that whenever there is a problem, first-person our eyes search for is our Friend. We always need someone who thinks from our perspective in any situation. Thoughtful nature always makes a person capable of overcoming all the hurdles that come in the way to achieve success. There are 2 types of people, the one who is keen to solve everything and the other one who is always ready to give up in any situation. These are divided as Thoughtful and Thoughtless respectively.

Gautam Buddha once met a bandit who used to kill innocents cut their finger and tie it to the wreath. While listening to his threats Buddha was calm and quiet. He then asked bandit to pluck 2 flowers. Bandit surprisingly went and plucked flowers. Now he was asked to again attach flowers to the same plant as they were earlier. Bandit was so confused that why he was asked to pluck it and again joining those plants was impossible.

When he asked Buddha about this he replied: “If you can’t join a flower back to its original place, you have no rights to pluck it, same as when we can’t make someone happy – we are no one to make them cry”. By this bandit was in the feet of Buddha. It was his thoughtful nature that helped a bandit to convert into a good person.

SCHOOLING & EDUCATION by SHANKAR SAHAY

"I have never let my schooling interfere with my education?"
When Mark Twain wrote those words, he would have never thought as to how long it will take for the human race to understand its meaning and take some proactive action.

A few days back, I asked my younger son, who is in the final year of graduation as to what is he studying for his final year exams. His simple reply was "I don't need to prepare for anything. The college is teaching me C++ which I studied in my Class-XII. I am anyway aware of better languages like Python & R, which are more useful and are not in my college curriculum." His answer forced me to contemplate as to how redundant our teaching is that we are still imparting the students the knowledge of an age-old language while better ones have already evolved and are very much in use. A look at the syllabus of the leading Indian Schools and Universities will prove this beyond doubt. There is an umpteen number of examples where the curriculum has not been revised for decades. As a result, the students' actual education takes place outside the 4 walls of the school, rather than inside.

Another case in point is related to imparting important life-lessons to the students at the school level. There are very few schools who go beyond the bookish knowledge. Important information and skills like Communication Skills, Time Management, General Awareness, Team Management, Leadership Skills etc. need to be shared with the students at an early stage in their lives, so that they come up with an all-round personality, rather than being only a book worm.

In this regard, my recent visit to Fabindia School at Bali Village near Falna in Rajasthan was a very pleasant experience. It is an initiative of Fabindia where over 500 village students are educated by way of not only usual classroom teaching but also by involving nature, be it in the form of Gurukul style setting or organic farming. Students are made aware of important aspects of life by way of involving them in several practical projects, visits and sessions by area experts. The most wonderful thing was that in this journey of education sharing, the faculty members are also deeply involved. Every week, there are regular book-reading sessions where one of the faculty persons shares with his/ her colleagues' pearls of wisdom related to a new concept/ topic being practised at other places.

The school comes up as a model of Education, rather than Literacy & Teaching.
