Determination - Pinkee Chouhan
What is determination?
Determination is the determination to do something despite a difficult situation. Resolve is the option that provides a ladder to get out of the hole instead of pushing the person to the pit of despair. There is limitless power in the will, due to which the goal is definitely accomplished.
Determination is the determination to do something despite a difficult situation. Resolve is the option that provides a ladder to get out of the hole instead of pushing the person to the pit of despair. There is limitless power in the will, due to which the goal is definitely accomplished.
How can you be determined? Let me share a real story of a 65-year-old lady Lata Kare Ji who lives in the Baramati district of Maharashtra. In the year 2014, her husband was suffering from a severe disease. The amount for the treatment was too much. Her husband was an agricultural labourer and earned hardly one hundred and two hundred per day. Raising the amount of therapy was very difficult for Lata Ji. But she wanted to see her husband alive at any cost. That's when she heard about the organizing of the marathon and the prize money. This made her feel a little light in complete darkness. She had never participated in a running competition before. Keeping in mind that most of the participants would be young, energetic and fully prepared, still, she ran in a sari and with slippers. Lata Kare was without sports shoes and without sports clothes. Her sandal broke in the middle of the way, but she did not pay any attention to it. She ran barefoot and finished the marathon.
Her determination brought her victory. There is no solid formula to become more determined; when you want something from your heart, your determination will always be at its peak. Decision making is an intellectual and logical process, and perseverance here is related to the power of the mind. We like to do physical activities like playing, walking, and watching movies. Usually, our body wants comfort, so we choose situations where we have to suffer less, even during cognitive behaviour. So we are not used to living on our own decisions. Whenever we suffer more, our mind starts looking for excuses to change its own decision, and we also easily find reasons. So if we want to develop determination, then we also need to practice it. We should start with small efforts. You can try it on small things too, such as the decision not to drink tea at a time, the decision to cut a few hours off from entertainment and follow these decisions.
Determination breaks the shackles of dilemma. Success and failure in life are due to the mind. The determination power of the mind keeps it engaged in continuous work. It often leads to success. When the weakness of the mind makes a person weak while doing work, infuses despair in him, then there is a failure in the result. Whenever a person becomes relaxed while working, the intellect also gives up. The willpower of the mind awakens immense strength in the body, also makes intellect sharp, due to which the person definitely gets success in that field.

Be a Giver, not a Taker - Swabhi Parmar

Happiness lies in the domain of givers, not takers. Takers are people who, when working with others, try to get as much out of that interaction for their benefit and give back as little as they can in return. In their view, this is the quickest way to success. On the other hand, Givers go out their way to help others either by mentoring, sharing their insights, or lending a hand when possible without seeking anything in return.

God Helps Those Who Help Themselves - Shivani Rao
![]() |

Our attempts and efforts are very much essential, and our prayers will strengthen our purposes. Our foremost responsibility as God's creation is to do our best in whatever we strive we do. Only then God lends a helping hand. But if we choose to be lazy, waiting for someone else to do our work for us, God will not help us in any way because he has given us the ability to help ourselves, and we should be using it constantly.
If we observe, we will see that the most successful men are the ones who are the most hardworking as well. We know success awaits those who work hard. Hence, we can say that God helps but helps only those who help themselves.

Leadership - Prakash Dangi

Confidence is the most quality. A leader must have strong self-confidence. A person lacking in confidence can never be a good leader. A person must be confident enough to ensure others follow him. The leader must have confidence in his decisions and actions. If he is unsure, then how can people have the desire to follow him.
Honesty is another notable quality of a leader. Honesty and Integrity are important to earn the love of followers. Above all, honesty is essential to win the trust of the people. Probably, every Leadership which loses trust is bound to fail.
Mahatma Gandhi was an excellent example of a good leader. He was a staunch believer in non-violence. With his brilliant Leadership skills, he made the British leave India.
A good leader must be an excellent innovator. He must display a creative attitude in his work. Most noteworthy, innovation is a guarantee of survival of a group or innovation. Without creative thinking, progress is not possible. To conclude, Leadership is required in probably every sphere of life. Good leadership is the door to success.

Self Study for Open Competition Exams - Manish Jaiswal
With a new topic, I am again in front of you for your career guidance.
Today my topic is "Preparing the base for open competition exams along with 11th & 12th classes."
Dear Students, let us throw some light on the dos and don'ts.
Do's:
1.Nearly 60% syllabus of above competitions comes from class 11th, so start early, i.e., from initial months of class 11th.
2. Always underline NCERT Book while reading.
3. Remember students, MCQs are the real diamonds in our study.
4. Focus more on topics as per the subjects.
Chemistry- Chemical equations
Math- More practice
Biology- Labelled diagram with working.
5. Solve every numerical up to end till you match your answers correctly.
6. Use the clock ⏰ to complete a fixed number of MCQ in a fixed time.
7. Check your accuracy every time in solving MCQs.(% of questions correctly answered)
8. Use only standard reference books.
9. Use animations and ppt to understand difficult topics.
10. Last year paper of the exams is a must to understand the actual paper pattern.
Don't :
1. Don't give unnecessary time to any particular question.
2. Don't trust model papers before practising previous year solved papers.
4. Don't copy or follow others time table. Instead, make your own timetable as per your convenience.
5. Don't try to learn long theoretical topics line by line. Verbal quizzes are one of the best modes to study theoretical chapters.
6. Don't increase study hours at the expense of health due to physical inactivity.
Instead have light exercises or yoga. Only sound health can lead to sound study.
7. Don't be over-ambitious for a particular aim.
Spare some time for family gossips to maintain mental health.
8. Don't cut off from family and good friends as they definitely support you in the study.
9. Don't expect perfection, instead, learn from mistakes and try not repeating them again.
10. Don't run behind success, instead run for the qualities like patience, self-honesty, perseverance, punctuality, discipline, hard work, self-belief, co-operation, satisfaction, success will come your way by itself.

Happiness comes from within - Sharmila Vijayvargi
We every day come across many quotes on happiness. But, we actually don't know what happiness is.
It is different for everyone. Today, staying home is making me happy but it is so possible that tomorrow going out and enjoying it might make me happy. At times, we keep running behind things thinking that having it will make me happy but when we achieve it, our level of happiness changes! Hence, it is very important to decide what we want in life. Material things will get us happiness for a limited time and so it is the inner satisfaction that will make us happy. It is important to realize what we want and once we know that, happiness would follow.
Let us understand this through an example: Having a big house, a fancy car is something we all aim for! But tomorrow if we don't have time to enjoy any of it or have a family to live with, these objects will just be there as our asset in the financial books but in reality, we will be all alone. So, that's where we know that it is family which makes us happy and the satisfaction derived from it, will make us more confident and happier, even if we don't own a big house or car!!
Being happy makes one more efficient as we synergies all our efforts towards delivering the best. It is a virtue. Happy people also make their surroundings relaxed and work as a catalyst in reducing stress. Thus, avoiding the unnecessary hustle and rat race and trying to be content knowing what is important is a ladder to being happy and once this inner happiness is achieved, there's no stopping success!
Stay happy always!

Be Yourself - Monika Vaishnav
A few days before, I was watching a TV show and in that episode, a famous poet was invited. He was
too good at writing poetries and reciting them in his own way. Meanwhile, the host asked the audience to ask questions to the guest. One boy who was sitting in the audience stood up and said, "Sir, you are a good poet, I would like to recite a few lines of your poem in your way." The poet said, "yes please." The boy recited and got the appreciation of the audience. Then, he said, "Give me blessings, I want to be like you, you are a famous poet, I hope I could also recite the poem the way you did." Then the poet said, "if you really want to do something in life, don't copy me or anyone else, be yourself, be like you.
Come up with your originality, create your own version. Write your own poems and give them your own new style of reciting it. This will lead you to success. That thing really inspired me. He meant that rather than concentrating on becoming like any stars or anyone, we need to give time to develop our own style. It's good to get inspired by others, learning good things from others but until you don't have your own talent or skills, you can't get success.
I truly believe that everybody is blessed with some or other skills and we need to enhance it with hard work and regular practices. That thing really inspired me. We need to identify our skills and have faith in ourselves. We need to focus on our own style of performing our excellence, this will create a difference in our life. What would have happened if Sachin Tendulkar left cricket and ran for becoming doctor or engineer or what would have happened if he also played like any of the famous players of his time, would he be what is today? The answer is no. So we must observe and be ourselves to go ahead and achieve success in life.

Importance Of Determination In Students - Byju Joseph
A firm determination is essential for success. It is willpower that enables us to succeed in our life. Being students, you all need to have specific goals and to possess a strong will to acquire them. Nothing is impossible for those who have strong willpower. They never say that it cannot be done or not possible because they know that there may be some ways to accomplish it.They always try to find the solutions even if it is challenging. They strongly believe in themselves and work hard to attain it. A proverb says, “Where there is a will, there is a way” it emphasizes willpower. If willpower is there, confidence also will be there.
A student who wishes to get a rank never says that a particular subject is complicated and cannot study it. If any difficulty with a specific topic, he will indeed spend more time learning it. Gradually he will overcome the challenges. Hard work and ultimate devotion with strong willpower always lead to success.

Patience and Courage - Byju Joseph

Patience and Courage are connected to each other in some ways. We need the courage to be patient. At the same time patience leads us to be courageous. If we analyse the social life at the present time we can understand that we are losing the value of patience day by day. Patience is the way to simplicity and it is the key to success. Beyond all discoveries, inventions, productions or any attempts, there must be patience and hard work for many days. It is time-consuming. In the present world, nobody is ready to waste precious time.
Patience
depends on our self-discipline and self-control while courage depends on our
confidence. Confidence depends on our knowledge. It is very clear that patience
and courage together make success. There are many such examples which are
inspiring everyone. Albert Einstein could not speak until he was four and he
could not read until he was seven. Teachers thought he was slow and that’s why
he was expelled from school. Later the world identified the most genius person
in him. Thomas Alva Edison’s teachers said he was “too stupid to learn
anything”. So he was also expelled from school and his mother took him off the
school and taught him herself. Later he became one of the greatest inventors of
all time having more than a thousand patents. He invented the bulb. During his
attempts to invent it, he failed more than ten thousand times. From these, we
can understand how much patience and courage they possessed which ultimately
led them to success.
I would like
to bring your attention to a small creature which I used to observe mostly in
my childhood. It was a spider and it was so interesting for me to observe the
weaving of its web. During its attempts to make the web, it fails many times.
But it never gives up till it accomplishes. It tries many times patiently to
achieve the goal. At that time it was not very thoughtful for me. But later on,
I read a story of the king of Scotland named Robert the Bruce. In the story, it
states that he fought against England six times and he was defeated in each
war. The king escaped to a cave in the forest. There once he noticed a spider
weaving its web. Six times the spider failed to throw its thread to the next
end of the cave but it did not lose hope. It tried again and in the next
attempt, it succeeded.
The king got
inspired by the act of spider and as a seventh attempt, he collected and
trained his soldiers to fight against England. He waited patiently and all
arrangements were done and he became confident. The patient preparation and
courageous step to the battle led him to golden success.

Responsibility & Cooperation - Optimizers BHIS
Raj, a young boy, was very intelligent and was always ready to help his friends. There was another boy named Smith, who struggled with his studies and scored poorly in his exams.
Due to his academic performance, Smith was made fun of by his classmates and this often demoralized him.
Raj disliked the behaviour of the others with regard to Smith and he wanted to do something to change it. Smith's parents were also worried about his education.
Raj hit upon a plan. He felt that if he could help Smith with his studies, the latter may fare better. So after, school Raj would visit Smith's house and to with him.
Raj had a belief that if he could help Smith and motivate him positively, he would surely progress. The good Samaritan also told his classmates not to bully Smith and encourage him. In addition, the class teacher also encouraged him to study hard with innovative teaching methods so that he felt an interest in studies.
After 15 days of efforts and cooperation from his classmates, Raj and the class teacher, Smith was truly prepared for his exams. He cleared his exams with flying colours. Smith's parents were immensely happy and highly appreciated everyone's efforts.
This was all Smith needed - a realisation that he could do it! Since then Smith became a responsible child and he understood that only hard work and determination can guarantee success in life. He was very thankful to his class teacher and Raj, as without their cooperation he would not have got a chance.
