Freedom and Peace- Medley DGS
One cannot be at peace if he/she is not free. There are several ways to get peace, but internal peace is achieved when one attains internal satisfaction and happiness.
Happiness can be attained temporarily from materialistic things we own, but this kind of happiness and peace does not last long if one thinks deeply. It gets somewhere lost, and we feel empty and empty people only influence others to fill their own emptiness; they cover up their own inabilities by manipulating the emotion of others. In simple words, they are at unrest. But if one finds ways to break free from materialism and move in life with that mindset, he finds himself surrounded by a calm, reliable, kind, authentic and peaceful environment.
When I asked a few of my students what does peace meant to them? The answers I received left me awestruck, one of the students said that I feel at peace when I am heard. Another one said when I am accepted, I feel peace. One child said when I am allowed to express myself, I feel peaceful inside. I was moved by the answers as they beautifully captured the essence of being free in terms of expressions and acceptance and connected that with peace- internal, eternal peace.
For a teacher, it is essential to set the right examples in front of the class to make them understand that freedom is not only being able to do what we want to do but to remember that true freedom creates peace for everyone. I was once sitting with our Principal when a few of the students came to the principal’s office; they were sent there by their class teacher as three of them were not finding their notebooks and wanted to issue fresh copies from the stationery store. Very confidently, they walked into the principal’s office and said, “ma’am, we can’t find our notebooks, please allow us to issue new ones; our parents will pay for it”. To this, the principal said, “ok, I will allow, but before that, you have to do an assignment for me; you can use the internet for that. Please find out how many trees are cut to make one notebook and how many trees are cut to create stationery material every year”. Such a simple incident, but it left a mark on me. The next day, I specially went to find out the result of that exercise. The students found few very relevant facts and understood how each of them is impacting the environment at their level; they searched for their lost notebooks and understood that money may buy extra notebooks but can’t buy a whole tree. This incident made me learn how irrelevant freedom is if it is not taken with responsibility and does not create peace.

Happiness and Tolerance - Agile Alphians
Happiness comes from the inside; one can buy many things with money, but not happiness. Tolerance is also one of the essential things to live a healthy and prosperous life. But tolerance has a limit. We as a teacher feel very pleased when our students perform well in their studies and Co-curricular activities. We deal with unique students.
We want to share one more critical and unique example. Nowadays, many people are getting vaccinated. When they take the vaccine, they have pain sometimes and fall ill for one or two days. But they tolerate the pain and suffering, but after two days, when they get alright, they feel happy. This example also shows us that Tolerance leads to Happiness.

Simple Living, High Thinking - Swabhi Parmar
The urge of a human being to gain materialistic wealth is beyond control and has a significant impact on our economy. Companies market products that are actually not needed and add no value to our lives but the branding of the products is done such that it is made to create an illusion of value addition in our lives when in reality, all it does is add problems to our lives.
The concept of simple living high thinking is not just about a clutter-free closet or a cleanroom. To have peace of mind and live a truly blessed life, we need to follow this simple living high thinking theory in life. Some of us have money, some of us don’t, and some of us have that in plenty, and still, our peace of mind is not as much as that worker who sleeps on the footpath with no worries. We, as a society, look at them in wonderment and pity, but in reality, it is them that should pity us.
The sense of joy, fulfilment and satisfaction you get when you help someone in need is far more than the joy you get when you buy a branded shoe or a costly phone. The COVID-19 pandemic has thought many life lessons to us and one of which is the joy of helping others. It is not just about the joy, we should do it as a responsibility and gratitude towards our privileges that God has granted us. The entire economy of the world is crumbling just because all of us are buying only the bare minimum and essentials. More than 90% of our economy is surviving because of the consumer’s spending on things that they don’t really need.
Minimalism is a term that is used to refer to a lifestyle which is minimum in materialistic point of view, but maximum in peace of mind and tranquillity point of view. We are always frustrated and agitated whenever we come home looking at a closet full of clothes, a kitchen full of utensils, a refrigerator full of food and a table full of useless things. Get rid of it all. Yes, the minimum lifestyle will give a sense of direction and purpose in life. Instead of spending that one lakh rupee on iPhone, buy a phone that is cheaper and use the rest of the money to feed the poor and the hungry. Try this one day, and you yourself will be addicted to that joy. The smile that you see when you feed someone who is in need is enough to have a sense of purpose in life.

Happiness and Tolerance - Achievers JMMS
Happiness is something which we can’t describe in words, it can only be felt from someone. It is the feeling that you have been honest with yourself. Happiness is the feeling which satisfies our within. Small things can make us happy. I think a child should understand the value of happiness so that he or she makes a happy society. Every day we see or meet someone who is happy and tries to spread happiness in his or her surrounding. The things that make a teacher happy is seeing their students happy and sharing their problems with the teacher. A teacher and student have a relationship where a child tells about his problems and a teacher tries to solve it. Teachers and parents are the best guides for the child to put the value of happiness and tolerance in the child. And to make him live in an environment where he has to face different things.
Tolerance is important which helps people to live together peacefully. It means patience, understanding and accepting anything different. Tolerance is the attitude of openness and respect for the differences that exist among people. For example teasing, bullying and disrespect are the negative behaviour in children so it is important to teach tolerance from an early age. In students life, tolerance is necessary because when a child learn to be open-minded and learn about various cultures, food, people and faith surrounding them, it will be easier for the child to accept them when they get younger.

Tolerance a Path to Happiness
In the middle of the term, I got an admission of a girl who likes to stay all alone in the class as well as outside the class. She was not able to mix up with the class. It was in her that she doesn’t like to share her things with others. In the recess time also she uses to sit alone and eat her lunch. she was very quiet. She was not able to make friends.
We as the teachers tried to find out the problem that girl was facing. We decided to take the survey to her house and talk to her parents regarding their child. When we met the parents we found that a child got affected with her surrounding where the neighbours don’t even talk to each other neither the other children like to play together.
We decided to put the value of sharing in the girl as well as in the students who are a bit similar to that girl and arranged the little potluck lunch of the class where every child got something from their home. They all shared and enjoyed. By seeing this the girl also shared her lunch and enjoyed with everyone. She now made new friends in the class. This is how the tolerance of the class, as well as the girl, change into happiness.

Freedom and Peace - Monika Vaishnav
Freedom means the absence of restrictions. Freedom is where you can think what you want, you can do what you want without harming others, you can go where you want to without stopping others, you can speak what you feel and you can live the way you want. Freedom makes us fearless and confident in life. It gives satisfaction and peace to mind. Sunday, June 14, 2020
Responsibility and Cooperation - Monica Vaishnav
Responsibility makes a person punctual and dedicated towards his work. Sometime we see people becoming irresponsible in life, it is because either they are over pampered or people don't give them responsibility thinking that they won't do it properly.Giving responsibility is the only way to make someone responsible.
They may make mistakes for once or twice but slowly they will become responsible in life. The one who takes responsibility at the early age, becomes stronger and more successful in life. We should make children responsible by giving them small tasks according to their age. They should be taught to take care of their own things, do their work by themselves and take care of their dear ones and surroundings where they live. When they are in school, they must take care of school property and when they are at home they should help their parents and take care of them, how much they can. Fulfilling our responsibility, gives us inner satisfaction.
Cooperation is the essential part of any task or work to be given as a team. Without cooperation we can't achieve our goal. When we work as a team, we all have to help, support, guide, listen and understand each other. When a person becomes successful in life, there are many hands who support him to reach his destiny. None of the institutions could work properly without cooperation of the people working there whether it is school, hospital, company etc. For example, school is the true example of cooperation as to run any school properly, the teachers, Principal, children, management, parents, support staff, driver and admin staff cooperate with each other and work together to achieve a common goal which is overall development of the child.

Responsibility & Co-operation - Harmony BHIS
The little children came up with creative ideas to express their love and care for ‘Tigers’. The teacher engaged her students in a brainstorming session and encouraged them to bring out their ideas on charts to save Tigers. Every child shared ideas about the same. The teacher then announced, “The class will now be divided into two groups and each group express their creativity on the chart paper.”
Cooperative learning in early childhood can promote a positive attitude towards school, teachers and peers.

Honesty and Respect - Prerna Rathod

Honesty and Respect - Byju Joseph
Honesty is one of the most important moral values to possess and practice everyone. It helps to develop discipline, respect, kindness etc. Being educators what is our role? What are the things that we can do to inculcate the moral values in the present and coming generations? Education does not mean acquiring knowledge in a certain field. It means the all-round development of an individual. At present, the educational system is value-based. By education, a trustworthy, and honest, a dedicated and respectful generation should be evolved. The new generation thus coming out should be able to face the world fearlessly and should be able to solve the issues in a sustainable manner. The Fabindia School

Happiness and Tolerance - Byju Joseph
As educators, we must have tolerance, respect, and equality in our learning community. We must be ready to listen and accept the ideas and opinions of our children. It creates a deeper understanding of their views and beliefs. Former American President John F. Kennedy once said, ‘Tolerance implies no lack of commitment to one’s own beliefs, rather than it condoms the oppression or persecution of others’. Tolerance is a virtue that depends upon peace and strength. It is the ability to endure pain and hardships. In another way, having tolerance is a good ability to overcome certain circumstances but it depends on how we handle the situations. It helps us to overcome challenges and accept things in our lives.Ten Formulas of Success - Manish Jaiswal
