Everyone praises good manners but few can practice them. They are medicines which

are good for every disease. Good manners are the sign of all progress in the world. They are the beauty and glory of our actions. Other qualities do not affect us so much as good manners do. Bad manners create evil beings. The wicked people who insult us are never liked by us. We must have regard for the opinions of others. That is a sign of good manners.

Man is the maker of his own date. He has a key by which he puts himself in dark or in light. If a man follows the evil things and becomes loose charactered he cannot improve his life and would be a burden on society, but if a man possesses good qualities, he can improve his life, society and the country and he can achieve his goal.

Good manners are the backbone of our life. They exert the greatest influence on the career of a man. A man of character is the key to the progress of society. Physical strength is nothing when compared to moral strength. We should build our character because it is a source of pleasure to others. Behaving well with others means having regard for their personality. Wealth gives us temporary luxuries but good manners and strong characters give us permanent happiness. Everybody in society will be happy to know us if we have a good character.

Honesty and Respect - Richa Solanki

Honesty is one of the important assets for all of us. Honesty doesn’t come naturally, but it is an internal process of adopting it through a self point of view. It is the responsibility of educators to the guild and gives our children the benefit of an excellent character. Instead of angrily speaking with a child for dishonesty. It is important to let them know that they can count on each other to speak the truth, no matter how difficult it may be. It is essential for a child to know that once trust is broken, it is hard to get it back. So a clear statement should be given on honesty rather than punishment for immoral behaviour.

They should be motivated for their reliability and should be encouraged to tell the truth. 'Honesty is the best policy’ should be taught to children with high moral values. It will make a huge impact on society. An educator should make them understand that honesty is the key to success. Tolerance, patience, analysis, and trust are the best tools it can be used to help kids adopt honesty. You can help your child to correct their mistakes with forgiveness that can result in self-realisation and help them to take steps to correct their mistakes on their own. Parents and teachers should make children understand the difference between such lies and honesty by having a discussion when they are in need. 

When building trust through honesty, be prepared for the other person to share their honest thoughts about your work and how it affects them.  Students will not grow in an environment where the teacher oversteps their authority. And it is also important that students must also respond to what their teachers taught them and learning to listen is a part of learning  and self-respect involves respecting the beliefs of others. Students must understand the value of good manners and exercising good manners properly.

First, to become an honest person, you must be honest with yourself and with others also. And another thing is to learn to apologise and accepting responsibility for apologizing for mistake and wrongdoing. It makes you feel good from another's point of view. We should allow each other to have and express our own views, whether we agree with them or not because it shows respect for others views and it doesn't mean that we are always right. We must respect others decision also.

Honesty and Respect

What is Honesty? Many children think honesty means not to tell a lie and that is definitely part of being honest. But honesty means more than not lying. A more complete definition of honesty shows that an honest person doesn't do things that are morally wrong. Honesty is an important character trait for a successful future. It takes time, patience and effort to teach children to be honest.

Children sometimes start a dishonest tendency during the pre-school years. For instance, they may grab toys from a child or try to take stationeries of other children. The teacher should correct this type of behaviour immediately by teaching children to return what is taken, apologize for their behaviour or teach children a way to pay for what is taken.

 Use age-appropriate language to teach positive character development. Help young children understand honesty and why dishonesty is bad by reading stories related to honesty. Ask children questions throughout the story, or enact a play on the theme 'Honesty is the best policy’. This process gives children time to share their thoughts and understanding.

 Children often lie out of fear or to protect themselves because they worry about being punished or making teachers angry. When teachers react harshly to children’s mistakes, it may result in more lies instead of taking responsibility for their behaviour. It is important for teachers to talk to children about their behaviour, what they could have done differently and what they can do to make things right. When children tell the truth, teachers should praise them for being honest. Children should know that their teachers value and appreciate the truth.

Respect includes qualities like acceptance, courtesy, manners, being considerate of the feelings of others, peacekeeping, and appreciating differences. It is important to make the children realize the value of respecting their teachers, their parents and friends. One of the most fundamental things to teach respect is ‘To give respect and take respect’. If we do not respect our children, they will also not respect us. Both the teacher and the student should respect each other.

The next time you see a child in a situation where he is being respectful, acknowledge and praise him in front of other children. Thus, you will be able to check that respect is an admirable quality in all children equally. As our children learn the importance of listening to others and taking their views, ideas and opinions, they should also become more open-minded and increasingly tolerant towards others. Respecting others can lead to the development of strong positive relationships with friends, family members and teachers. It is also a trait that is invaluable throughout life and ultimately respect will help our children to grow up and lead a happy life where others are always treated well.
