Hope and Friendship - Byju Joseph

Hope is the feeling or expectation to happen something in a positive manner. Everyone has hope. It is always optimistic. But life is not according to our expectations. There are many tough times in our lives. We need to face them fearlessly. Hope always provides confidence to fight against the adverse circumstances and help to achieve success. There are many situations in our lives where we expect a cent per cent success but at the final stage, we lose our expectations. In all such situations, our hope will help us to analyze and correct our mistakes to achieve better results. Our lives become colourful and meaningful because of hope only. When we fall ill, our body and mind become weak but our hope helps to form a mind set up that leads to an easy recovery.
If there is hope there is a reason to live. Hope strengthens our mind. There is a proverb that says, “Necessity is the mother of invention”. When it is absolutely necessary to do a thing, and there is no way of doing it, we strain our brains and invent the possibilities. We are using the technologies and facilities without thinking about the hard work of those people who worked behind to create them. We must be thankful to those people or scientists who have invented so many things for mankind by their hard work for many days with patience and curiosity. Beyond these all efforts and success, there must be hope.

Parents have expectations from children and children have expectations from parents. Teachers have expectations from students and students have expectations from teachers. In the same manner, as citizens of the country, we have expectations from other fellow beings and vice versa. Thus mutual expectations exist among us. We understand each other and mutual relationships become stronger. These cordial relationships strengthen gradually and lead to friendships and we hope to fulfil our needs.
Friendship is a divine gift because it is purely based on love. It is a close relationship formed by mutual understanding among different individuals where we can find love, caring, acceptance and sharing. We all like to have true friends. True friends are those who feel happy in our success and feel sad in our failures. Due to the influences of certain factors, true friendship becomes rare and only a few people experience it on these days. The weakening or failure of friendship should never be promoted. School is the proper place where true friendship can originate and flourish. Childhood friendship will continue smoothly and last for the whole life. Courage and Patience: Urmila Rathore

Both courage and patience complement each other.

Whenever we find a situation unfavourable, we get scared or maybe try to run away from it.

It is often seen that we hesitate to get out of our comfort zone and think that now I do not know what will happen; can I succeed in a new task? Can I reconcile with an unfavourable situation or unknown people? Can I do better there? Many other questions come to our mind. This is why we start losing our confidence and unknowable fear keeps on frightening us. But when we are determined to face this unintentional fear and mental duality, our courage starts growing and with that, we come halfway across already. Now when we have travelled half the journey, then we win half the journey with qualities like patience. For this, firstly, confidence in us and continuity in work is very important. That is true patience.

When an ant repeatedly fails to reach atop something manifold its weight but still can endure to success,  that's because of its courage and patience, that’s because of its 'trying countless times' that it succeeds in the end.

We have to accept this learning because there are endless possibilities in human beings if they try patiently and continuously. I was very impressed by an incident of a few days ago when four children were playing a game of Ludo. In these three boys were teenagers, who were 12 to 18 years old and a fourth boy was about 8 years old. Those four boys started playing Ludo. Three boys - Sidhu, Vishal and Priyank, and Yash, the fourth one was younger to them.

Now the rules of the game we're told and predictions were made as to who could win. Yash said that I will come first while all three of them refused to include him stating that he would lose but keeping in mind his interest and desire to play, he was also included. All prophesized their own victories. The game started with Yash playing patiently while others got extremely impatient as he managed to throw a six while others were having their tokens' lockdown, unable to get a six. Finally, all his tokens were out from the square and I got very eager to know the next and wanted to be in the game. At the same time, Yash's courage was distracting them all. Frequent ups and downs made the game exciting. The cheating took place somewhere in the game and there was a big debate about this, but eventually Yash's honesty, patience and courage led him to victory.

In this way, we can say that we can ensure victory by remaining calm in any task or situation. Patience gives us the courage to fight against difficulties.

The Ear Specialists

The children in the class are made to listen carefully to the teacher’s lecture and follow instructions, but do you think the student has listened to you? Aren’t we nurturing their minds to the right direction? No, for the kid’s ear hears what it just wants to hear.

If you want to be a good leader it is necessary to hear the unheard. A teacher needs to inculcate in the student to hear from his inner ear. A student will only be able to understand and be successful when he hears what is unheard. Teachers need to prepare their lessons in an exciting and informal way that the students comprehend and discover the unheard. Students deeply desire to hear that their teachers believe in them, recognize and explain their purpose and want to know who really they are. If students get an answer to these questions then they discover the unheard.

A teacher needs to motivate, encourage his student in a positive perspective. An Educator needs to educate both the heart and mind of his student and then the possibilities are endless.

Dropping Out Of School

Can a person be successful if he does not receive any formal education – i.e attended school for specific number of years and appeared in qualifying exams?

Lot many examples can be given such as Bill Gates, Rabindra Nath Tagore etc. who never received formal education but gained name, fame and glory.

From many examples it is seen that any person can be successful without formal education if one is not tied to a universe of either/or and must be tied to a universe which has broad possibilities.
