Is it impossible to teach a Zebra some Algebra? The answer that we usually get is ‘Yes” because a zebra does not have a developed intellect. Zebra’s mind is not developed to concentrate. But in our education system Teachers are the ones who can make the impossible possible. It is the Teacher’s duty to develop intellect in his students and help them concentrate in their studies and work. To develop intellect in their students a teacher needs to have knowledge of his real subject and that is his students. His method should be so effective that he can hold their minds and make them concentrate in his subject.
A Teacher can use many ways to make his topic interesting. He can use charts, pictures, activities, audio-visual clips, PPT etc. to gather concentration of the child and learning can be done. A great teacher is one who first tries to understand his student, how much he can gain, find out the reason why a student is not able to concentrate and then prepare his lessons accordingly. Concentration is the source of knowledge. If you concentrate you will be able to gain knowledge and that will be possible only when we wish to do something. As we all know that quotes ‘Where there is will, there is a way.’ A student will never concentrate if he doesn’t like a particular teacher. A Teacher who is liked by the students are the ones who can almost do the impossible.
To do the impossible a teacher needs to make his lesson interesting and capture the student’s attention. Every day he should have a new interesting method and discover his students so that he can put in learning in his students for nothing can be taught until it is learnt.
