Making Others Happy - Bharti Rao

Happiness is the feeling of joy. This feeling increases when we show kindness and make others happy. When we achieve something, we become so glad because we have achieved our effort. We should always love others and spread happiness. If we love others, they will also love us.

Making others happy give us happiness.  These days there are so many different things that can make a person happy. People should focus on others happiness for a change instead of focusing on their own happiness. This will make the world a happier place. Birthday is the time to celebrate with friends and family. Also, it is the best time to serve the community. 

Birthdays are unique to children, but not everyone can celebrate by participating in parties or gifts. My cousin wished to celebrate her birthday with the orphans. She visited the orphanage with her family, brought gifts and cut the cake with the children. The happiness seen on the children's faces really gave my sister immense pleasure in making her day.

Mother's job is selfless. She takes care of her family and loves them selflessly. She does everything to make them happy. Her happiness lies in her family. Community Service also gives us immense pleasure. Being a social volunteer is a blessed opportunity in itself. 

I remember another incident of my student Laxman who decided to celebrate his birthday with the old age people. He visited the old age people and celebrated his birthday with them and made his day memorable. I would like to end by quoting the words of Mother Teresa, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one come to you without leaving happier.

Unity and Caring - Mezhu Chopra

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” - Helen Keller

 In the year 2010, I received a distress call late evening from a student leader. He informed me that a student met with an accident, and they were going to the hospital. As I reached the hospital, the student was referred to another hospital because they could not tend to her injuries. A few of her friends and the student leaders rushed her to another hospital, where she was treated for the next seven days. As she was admitted, I was occupied thinking about who would take the responsibility of looking after her as she underwent various tests in the hospital. Before I could decide on a course of action, a few of her friends approached me, saying, "Aunty, we will take turns and look after her; you don't have to worry. We will miss a few classes in rotation and stay with her in the hospital". Hence, her friends and other students from the community took turns cooking three meals a day and accompany her to the hospital. As per the rules of the hospital, an advance payment was required to continue with the treatment. Upon hearing this, her friends and the students from the community pitched in whatever they could from their pockets and arranged for the advance payment till her parents reached Dehradun. Being away from home, the students learnt to stand together and care for each other. My heart was filled with joy as I bore witness to them selflessly doing whatever they could and responsibly taking decisions as a community.

What is important for Success? - Bharti Rao

Everybody wants to achieve their goal and success in life. Nobody dislikes it. But to achieve success is not so easy. Always remember that failure only helps us to achieve success. The first step to achieve success is to keep in mind that we should never be discouraged by failure. Learn from your failure to achieve greater success in life.

Destiny has a role to play in life, but it is beyond our control. Hard is in our reach and that we should never abandon it. Hard Work is the key to success. Without hard work success, no success is possible. If we work hard, if we perform our duty well, even God will have to reward us sooner or later. Lord Krishna has said in his preaching in the Bhagavad Gita that “Do thy duty unmindful of the reward.”

Today in this materialistic world money is important. But always remember that money and materialistic success cannot give you real happiness.  If we run and aim for materialistic success it leaves us tensed and in stress all the time. True success lies in our happiness. Money should always be secondary. We should have that much money which will help us to lead a comfortable life. Aim at the success which will give us happiness, contentment and attain it by hard work and from selfless deeds. Don’t try to attain success through wrong ways and at the cost of others.

If you want success to believe in yourself, work hard, keep on trying and learn from your flaws. I would like to quote the words of Bob Brown “Behind every successful man there’s a lot of unsuccessful years.” So stay focused, keep patience and go on.

Responsibility and Cooperation - Nikita Rajpurohit

Responsibility is a duty or obligation to do something. Responsible people are the ones that many look up to. They are the people who are considered role models for others to follow and are even known for their examples of responsibility followed by others. They are always the ones who help out. This quality helps people to find a fondness and trustworthiness in them towards those who are responsible.  Whether you are working, going to school, doing housework, or babysitting, being responsible is something that cannot be avoided in your day to day life. Some see the most responsible people as the first ones to call when emergencies happen while others know that a responsible person can be counted without having to be asked to be responsible.

Cooperation refers to the action or process of working together for the same goal. We cannot have cooperation without the development of sympathy. Sympathy depends upon the capacity of an individual to imagine himself in the place of another, particularly when the other person is in difficulties.  Cooperation is possible only when there is like-mindedness, the similarity of purpose, mutual understanding, mutual helpfulness and selfless attitude.

Both are two different terms, for sure, but they play a major role between a student-teacher life. So that student could be responsible for his task, be disciplined and cooperate with everyone in his surrounding. Responsibility of a student is to utilize the time he is spending in the school, gain knowledge, maintain discipline and follow what he is instructed by a teacher. At the same time, a teacher is responsible for giving the best clarification to the students about academics and their life as well. Students are curious because these are the growing years of life and they want to know everything they are still not familiar with. Here comes the role of responsibility of a teacher.

If a student is responsible, it makes it easy for a teacher to give the new- forming brain a good shape. And when a teacher is responsible, it automatically makes it easier for students to shape themselves into a better person every day. Besides responsibility, teachers and students must cooperate with each other or else difficulties might arise for both of them. If a teacher is non- cooperative, students might not feel so comfortable to share their questions/ opinions with him/her. On the other hand, if a student doesn't cooperate with the teacher, it might be difficult for a teacher to bring him on track. Therefore, responsibility and cooperation both are necessary terms in a student-teacher life.
