Handling Pressure - Nikita Rajpurohit

You might have come around terms like depression, stress, anxiety, or any other similar negative terms. You might have read many intellectual articles reflecting the reason behind these negative feelings, but the only key reason common in all of them is Pressure or Stress.

Pressures are of various types:-
Physical pressure
Emotional pressure
Psychological pressure
Psycho-spiritual pressure

Everyone is going through some or other kind of pressure. The pressure of academic performance, the pressure of earning a good living in society, the pressure of feeding family, the pressure of making your own life successful, etc. And the fact is that no remedy can help you escape the pressures in life; you have to fight daily with these pressures and overcome them.
Some people become a conqueror and win over these pressures, while others lose their willpower and kneel before them.

Students are handling mainly three pressures in life:-
To achieve great academic results
To chase their aim and work accordingly.
To balance their skills between academics and other practical skills.

Learning healthy ways to cope and getting the right care and support can help reduce stressful feelings and symptoms. The symptoms may be physical or emotional. For example, if you are emotional and nervous or have trouble sleeping or losing appetite, it can all be normal reactions to stress.  It's very much important to handle stress to live a healthy life.

Follow some tips to relieve yourself from the stress.
Take good care of yourself:- Eat healthily, exercise daily, sleep well and give yourself a break if stressed out.
Talk:- Talk about your feelings with your friends, parents, or the one you trust. Taking time to share your feelings and to listen and support others will go a long way.
Entertain yourself:- Watch a TV show, listen to music or podcast, watch a comedy show that makes you laugh.
Cook or bake something:- Just the thought of having something delicious to eat can bring you enough joy.

You can't feed your mind well if you don't feed your body well. So during this unprecedented time, let us support and be there for each other.  Stay fit, Stay healthy, Stay strong.

Courage - Prerna Rathod

Courage means an act of bravery.  It is to do something that you are frightened of. Courage has different meanings for different people. For example, for a dancer, courage is to be able to perform in front of everyone. For a speaker, it is to convey his views in front of everyone. For a leader, it is to keep up the team spirit in difficult times. But,  most importantly, courage is to take a stand for the right cause.

We need the courage to conquer our fears. When we are trying to climb the steps of success, we must have the courage to face failure and accept it. It is only courage that will help us to try again and achieve success in our life.

There are 6 types of courage:
1.  Physical Courage: It means to do something against your fear like entering a dark room even if you are afraid of darkness.
2.  Social Courage:  It means standing against others for what a correct cause. It may be to stand against your parents, society, for example, like organising a charity event, standing up to peer pressure.
3. Intellectual Courage involves asking questions and giving ideas during discussions or taking a risk in life to become successful.
4. Moral Courage:  It means using our values into doing the right thing like helping a blind man cross the road or picking up litter and not caring what others will others say.
5. Emotional Courage:  This implies always having positive emotions even if you are surrounded by negative ones. For example, caring for injured animals, helping friend grieve over the loss.
6. Spiritual Courage: This means asking questions or finding answers to questions like is there life after death? What is life? And so on.  It means opening to mysteries of life.

As Educators and parents, you must make our children understand why courage is important in our life. We can give them examples of our freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives to achieve freedom for India. We must make our children understand that it was due to their courage to live in free India.

If children are taught to be courageous from an early age, then they will be confident to take the risk in their life. I would like to end with Walt Disney's quote "All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them".

Courage and Patience - Triumph DGS

 Paul Coelho very well said……

“The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the PATIENCE -to wait for the right moment and the COURAGE- not to be disappointed with what we encounter.”

And I think Mythological stories are the best way to teach such values to children in a way that holds their interest.

I still remember it was the time before Diwali and we were in the class. A teacher came and asked, “How many of you read stories?”

We all raised our hands.

Teacher: “Do you read mythological stories?”

This time none of us raised our hands.

Teacher: “Today, I will tell you mythological story- The Ramayana. And tell you its significance in LIFE.”

She started the narration of the story by showing some illustrations. She said Ramayana is not just a story but it is a way of life.

It is a story of Trust, Courage, Patience and Faith

We all were amazed to hear the story, at the last, the teacher asked, “What do you think which character in Ramayana depicted the

quality of courage and patience?” We all had different views to share-

Some said- “Lord Ram”

He had the most courage and patience as he alone with his wife and brother spent 14 years exile in the forest.

Some said- “Hanuman Ji"

He was the most courageous as he alone burnt King Ravan's palace.

And some said- “Jataiyu"

He was the strongest and had enough patience as he stood for the right and fought against King Ravan.

We all have different perspectives and our teacher too had a different one, she said, “Today   I'll tell you about the character which I think is the most courageous and patient the character of Ramayana, Sita.”

Sita, a legendary a character who as wife and companion of Lord Ram showed courage and patience not only during their 14 years exile but also later.

It was Sita’s courage- that she did not let her bow down in front of the powerful king Ravan.

Ravan kidnapped her, even this could not break Sita's immense

willpower and courage but she patiently passed her difficult time in the  Asoka garden near Ravan’s palace and waited for lord Ram to free her from Ravan's captivity.

This incident is one of the most memorial memories of my childhood which I still remember. That day we realize the importance of such stories. And learnt about two friends:

Two friends walking side by side,

Importance of both can never be ignored in life.

Courage stands for strength while patience is just like an umbrella in the rain.

Courage teaches to stand against wrong while patience makes us tolerant and strong.

India is a treasure house for mythological stories. It contains the stories of Courage, Compassion, Love, Patience, Tolerance and Happiness and I believe that mythological stories are the best way to inculcate the good values and ethics in children. Such stories play an important part in parenting and education.

My idea of happiness lay embedded in destination addiction,
My day to day activities is governed by materialistic inclination.

A day dawned upon and awakened me at the core,
Inner peace, contentment, servility and to be pure.

Enhancing the Spiritual Powers

Enhancing the Spiritual  Powers
Generally ,power is symbolized by the strength in the arms and so the four or eight hand of goddess, Shakti stand for the Spiritual Powers innate with in each human soul.
In reality there are many more Powers .Time, breath, thoughts virtues, are also Powers. ' Samay Bada balwan. (Time is very powerful)' and Samay ke balihari. ( Its all due to the importance of time ). Refer to the present crucial time of tranformation of self and the world, the  'confluence age'. As the hand of the time move , the future becomes present and present sets in the past . What is the duration of present ? It becomes a past in a moment. It is said that the past is cancelled cheque and future is promissory note, whereas the present in hand cash which can be enjoyed at this very moment. When the mind lingers in the past ,it is just thinking about 'Why' ,'What', 'When', 'How',- it 's just a post- mortem of whatever has happened and can't be changed . Those thoughts are waste and negative thoughts. On the otherhand , when we think about future ,it is generally filled with anxiety and uncertaity . Therefore about 95 percent of our time we are living in negativity . The only positive thought that can be taken from the past is to derive a lesson from whatever has happened and once this happens we need not waste a single thought over it again . So we should put a full stop to the past and future and enjoy the present .

"IN ASKING FOR MIRACLES ,WE ARE NOT ASKING FOR SOMETHING OUTSIDE US TO CHANGE,BUT FOR SOMETHING INSIDE US TO CHANGE".

              - Marianne Williamson
There are eight main powers that have particular importance at the confluence Age: power to withdraw, power to pick-up , Power to tolerate, power to adjust ,Power to discriminate ,Power to face & Power to cooperate. We require the Spiritual Powers as this canopy of protection sustains, our virtues as we battle to conquer the vices.
"PROBLEMS COME NOT TO TROUBLE US BUT TO HUMBLE US".
