Thoughtfulness and Understanding - Bharti Rao

Thoughtfulness is the quality when we think about others and react and act accordingly to discover and invent. With thoughtfulness comes understanding, compassion and kindness for others. If we are thoughtful about others we will listen to them attentively, understand them and try to solve their problems.

A person who is thoughtful is mostly empathetic, sympathetic, kind, compassionate etc. A thoughtful educator will always create a healthy and positive environment by listening to them and guiding them so that they are able to think and achieve success. We come across many instances when we see kids being thoughtful with peers and animals. Thoughtfulness helps you to develop better understanding for others.

Understanding is the feeling when we are sympathetically aware of other’s feelings, tolerant towards them and forgive them. Mutual understanding is a must in school. As Educators we must understand our students and in return the students need to concentrate, listen and think deeply. When students work together in teams a mutual understanding is developed and they patiently with tolerance listen to each other to complete their task.

We see that many children show their thoughtfulness by extending a helping hand to their mothers at home, grandparents, teachers or their friends. They understand others' pain and help them if they are hurt or in pain. They also help their classmates to complete their work.  The root of disputes and conflicts is lack of understanding in people. If we are tolerant and develop better communication than we can have positive relationships.

“A little thought and a little kindness are often worth more than a great deal of money”- John Ruskin
